So what did we do on our summer vacation? Well, we started by visiting my family in the Detroit area, followed by a short time home in Suttons Bay, where I golfed with my brother and we made apologies to our cats, for being gone so long.
Then we were off on a 3,000 mile round trip drive to New England, which included stops in NY State, a great anniversary rest and shopping in Ogunquit, Maine, seeing Susan's family and having fresh seafood on the Atlantic coast, then another stop in NY on the way back to Michigan.
Susan wanted lobster!
We also enjoyed a traditional 4th of July in Traverse City watching the Blue Angels, ate lots of delicious Michigan sweet corn, enjoyed cherries from our neighbor's orchard, took boat rides on Lake Michigan and a couple of calm inland lakes, and simply rested in our own home.

Here are a few more pictures from our brief summer visit home. It was wonderful seeing so many of you again; thanks for your love and support! Thanks for helping me gain back some weight with great meals. Thanks for all the encouragement and kindness.
